SUNDAY SHORTS is a monthly short film festival and script competition in London.
A great place for filmmakers to share their work and meet like-minded creatives. Each month, we select 8 short films from around the world, and curate a diverse program to be screened on the last Sunday of that month.
All submissions are watched by the official jury, and short-listed films are watched by the festival directors and discussed. We're looking for filmmakers who understand the short form medium, and achieve what they set out to do, regardless of budget and experience.
Shortlisted films receive feedback and are re-considered for future programs. E.g. if we like a film, but agree that it is too long, or it just doesn't fit the current program, we'll change the submission status to semi-finalist and contact to the submitter.
UK-based filmmakers are invited to attend Sunday Shorts to give a Q&A after their screening.
International filmmakers are invited to give a Q&A over Skype, or submit pre-recorded answers to screen after their film.
We provide a short summary report for every script submitted to our monthly script competition. Our script feedback provides detailed and constructive notes for experienced and new writers. We are looking for scripts with potential, and not necessarily shooting scripts.
