Milkbusch International Short Film Festival

Milkbusch Short Film Festival is a one day festival in its first year. And we can't be more excited!
The Festival will be held in the old quiet, artistic seaside village of Melkbosstrand, Cape Town, South Africa.

We are focusing on films that dares to push boundaries. Drama, thriller, horror, mystery, scifi, comedy, animation and documentary are what we are looking for.
We are looking for filmmakers who are not afraid to try different things and think outside of the box.
Films with a running time of 1 minute to 40 minutes.

We will have some of South Africa's biggest names in the industry as judges and guest speakers.
The festival will have two screening areas - The Milkbusch Cinema and The Kwantum Cinema.
Food court will be hosted by local catering company: Burger Fellers.
Two cash bars available.
We are expecting over 500 people throughout the day.

Best documentary will receive a trophy, laurel, certificate and $100 cash prize.
Best trailer will receive a trophy, laurel, certificate and $50 cash prize.
All other categories will receive trophies, laurels and certificates.

Rules & Terms
Films must be 1 minute to 40 minutes long.
Any genre of films.
All non-English films must have English subtitles.
You may submit more than one film, but you must complete a separate entry form and pay entry fee for each film. For individual awards you must enter film as well.
Films must be completed after 2010.
