Filmul de Piatra

Filmul de Piatra is a festival created by the young for the young. 100% based on Volunteer Power, the festival’s main goal is to offer a platform for young short film directors from Romania and Moldova.
That said, the festival is known for its’ youthfulness and friendliness, unconventional locations, and very long nights of hard partying.

Awards & Prizes
The competitive section is open for short films made in the past year by directors from Romania and Moldova. The following awards are given at the festival:
- best short fiction film;
- best short documentary film;
- best short animated film;
- best short experimental film;
- best music video.
Several jury mentions are also offered for different types of achievements in all categories of films.

Rules & Terms
Submitted films must be under 30 minutes in length and be a majority production of one of the countries of Romania or Moldova. Films that already traveled to important international festivals are usually screened off-competition, while the competition is reserved for fresh films at the start of their career. Exceptions are possible!
