Stories of a Compassionate City FILM FESTIVAL
Calling all HOUSTON YOUTH VIDEO ARTISTS!

Submit your original, 3 minute video story illustrating, documenting, imagining or inspiring COMPASSION IN ACTION in Greater Houston, and YOU could be a featured artist in Houston’s Third Annual COMPASSION WEEK this spring.

Selected entries will be screened at Compassion Fest on Saturday, April 22, at Levy Park and featured on the Compassion Week website. Selected entries will be archived at Compassionate Houston and or the Houston Public Library. All acceptable entries will be available to the public, worldwide on the Compassionate Houston’s YouTube channel of Compassionate Houston.

Awards & Prizes
Producers of selected films will be eligible win prizes in the form of cash or A/V equipment.

Youth and enrolled college students ONLY.
*All submissions are due by Saturday, April 15, 2017, at midnight.

GUIDELINES:
Make sure you have broadcast rights to all your content.
Your entry must not run longer than 3 minutes total.
(Shorter is ok.)

Please name your file the title of your video story (or recognizable facsimile.)
When you upload, send an email to anita@longfilmsstudio.com with the following information:
1. Your full name, address, daytime phone/text number
2. The name of your short film (and the file name, if different.)
3. Your school affiliation, if any.
4. Your date of birth

*Contest entrants must be Houston Texas students.
*Submissions must be original and cannot violate any U.S. copyright laws.
*Videos must be accessible online, via YouTube or Vimeo
*Contest winners will be announced on April 22th, 2017
*There are three entry categories: grades 6-8, grades 9-18 College must show student ID if you are selected.
